AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE
FROM THE ORGANISERS OF
THE ENGLISH HALF MARATHON /
This message is to inform you that due to us not being able to guarantee all the necessary components to deliver a safe and fun race weekend experience, we are having to postpone this weekend’s races and associated activities to a weekend later in the year.
For those who have participated in our event in previous years know, we take our obligations very seriously and demand the very best for our runners, volunteers, local partners and our Warrington community.
This decision is a difficult one for us to take, as we know that you have dedicated yourself to your training and possibly fundraising over a number of months and to hear this message at the beginning of race week will be a blow to many.
We have to pass on a great deal of thanks and appreciation to our local partners in supporting us over the last couple of weeks and we will be working with them to secure a workable date very soon.
At this time, we do anticipate that you will have questions and expect updates ASAP. Over the coming days, we will be working to advise you of all the options available to you.
Please expect a follow up communication by 5pm on Thursday 12th September.
We truly apologise for this postponement and we hope that we can work together to deliver a safe and fun race weekend in Warrington.

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people in the UK. Last year over 1500 people under the age of 35 took their own lives; this equates to more than 4 young people every day. PAPYRUS exists to give hope to young people, and those concerned for them. Your support helps us to continue and expand our essential life-saving services. Your fundraising will help us to give the gift of hope and save young lives.
Room At The Inn
Warrington based Charity, Room At The Inn provide much needed services to an increasing number of vulnerable people in Warrington, offering daytime services, as well as a 10 bedded night shelter. Their ethos is to help people to access the services they need to move forward with their lives. The dedicated staff and volunteers support people through very difficult times and help them to find a brighter future.
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK charity dedicated solely to lung cancer and people affected by it. We are the ‘voice’ of patients and families. We speak up for those whose lives are touched by lung cancer, whose lives have been taken by it, and for those who will face a lung cancer diagnosis in the future.
